Queer Study Professors of Florida, UMass Boston Awaits You!

The Women and Gender studies department is recruiting. Can you be the queer scholar we are looking for?

We were devastated to hear that the New College of Florida Board of Trustees, headed by alt-right extremist Christopher Rufo and his evil grand-master Ron DeSantis, is moving to abolish the Gender Studies program as a part of the nefarious scheme to attack the one theory that’s not-to-be-attacked and abolish academic freedom (the one we care about, at least). The move triggered the loss of the only full time faculty in the department.

Not all is lost, though, as we are recruiting! UMass Boston, on its mission to become the city’s only social justice factory public research university, is looking to expand its Women, Gender and Sexuality studies department. We want a…

scholar-educator with expertise in Black Feminisms, Black Queer Studies, Black Trans Studies, Queer of Color Critique, Indigenous Studies, and/or Transnational Feminisms to support the minor in Queer and Transgender Studies.

Floridians, come to us! While we don’t have erotic vomiting seminars and we’re not (yet) queering the Bible like our friends at MIT, we still do our fair share in destroying western civilization! We invite world class speakers who preach about a multitude of topics, from abolishing the family to establishing a transtopia without borders.

Our luminaries produce groundbreaking articles that explain how Jews and women (and especially Jewish women) are always to blame, and that what the bigots call “terror” is actually queer resistance to empire.

While our department doesn’t have a graduate program, you can always team up with our stellar colleagues in Education and Liberal arts to produce earth shattering theses that explain why lady-brains just aren’t built for math or that it’s sort-of-ok to take advantage of a drunk college girl because, you know, agency.

Since we’re not alt-right bigots like our STEM counterparts, we don’t even require a diversity statement, since we know you are already a good soldier for the cause.
