Excommunication. Part 1

By the judgment of the Holy+Pendulum and by virtue of the power which has been given us, the Church of Woke and in the name our Lord and Savior Michel Foucault, we deprive the persons listed below, with all their accomplices and all their abettors, of the right to speak, of employment, of their good name, and of a myriad of other things we keep forgetting because we are so busy; and we deliver them to Satan.

So be it, so be it, so be it.

To be thus excommunicated:

• John McWhorter, for calling our Church a “church”;

• Anne Applebaum, for same;

• Lyell Asher, for same;

• All of you and each of you in particular, with your “original sin”;

• Kazuo Ishiguro, for assuming that young writers may venture writing about something that is not their “original sin”;

• Dean Leslie Neal-Boylan, for attributing humanity to the whole of the humanity;

• Trader Joe’s, for same;

• The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences, for same;

• Noam Chomsky, J. K. Rowling, Salman Rushdie, Fareed Zakaria, Cornell West, and all of the 153 signatories of the Harper Letter, for same;

• The Association for Mathematical Research, for same;

• The Heterodox Academy, for conjecturing that truth exists;

• UATX for same;

• The Ralston College for same;

• MIT, for suggesting that merit exists;

• All of the 1,786 signatories of the Math Matters Letter, for same;

• All of the 1,242 signatories of the California Math Curriculum Letter, for same;

• Professor Maitland Jones Jr., for same;

• All of the 1,018 and counting signatories of the Stanford Academic Freedom Declaration, for dearing to mention the academic freedom;

• All of the 156 signatories of the UMB CSM Open Letter, for same;

• The Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression (FIRE), for braving to defend free speech;

• The Foundation Against Intolerance & Racism (FAIR), for same;

• The Academic Freedom Alliance (AFA), for same;

• The American Council of Trustees and Alumni (ACTA) for same and many other sins;

• MIT, for blessing the creators of the Flickering Beacon with their brothers and sisters at the Babbling Beaver;

• Cornell, for giving the Flickering Beacon and the Babbling Beaver baby siblings, at the Babbling Bear;

• And all of those, at the Flickering Beacon, who are putting these words in our mouths, for refusing to accept the Divine Judgment of the Church of Kendi and DiAngelo and Coates, in the name our Lord and Savior Michel Foucault.
