A Lonely Jew on Campus
A guest post by Dr. Strangelove. A homage to South Park and all the lonely Jews on our campus and beyond
It's hard to be a Jew on campus
My “friends” they call me all these awful names
And I can't wear a star of David without armed security
My posters are gettin’ ripped down 'cause there's something wrong with me
My people don't believe in “From the river to the sea”
I'm a Jew
A lonely Jew
On Campus
Campus life is harsh, then why is it
That my Leaders pass over my plight every day?
When they talk about inclusion, social justice and equity
That is, unless you’re Jewish… Why are they ignoring me?
And what the F*k is up with their sudden obsession with f*king free speech? Tell me, please
I'm a Jew
A lonely Jew
I’m afraid
To speak Hebrew
On Campus
[The Flickering Beacon]
Hey Jewish dude, I couldn't help but hear
You're feeling left out of the Hamas cheer
But I've come to say that you shouldn't be sad
This is the one time that you should be glad
'Cause it's nice to be a Jew on campus
You’re not one of the crazy ones at all
You don’t shout and call for terror in the name of “equity”
And you helped expose the madness for the whole wide world to see
[Lonely Jew]
And I worry for my safety but at least I still have my dignity!
[Together]
That's right, you're a Jew
A stylin' Jew
It's still scary
To speak Hebrew
On campus!
On campus…
