We are not the only ones being ghosted
On February 18th the UMass Boston Faculty and Stuff Union held a meeting with our Supreme Leaders... Guess who didn't show up?

The Administration Ghosted the Union. Who Would've Thunk?
Apparently, We the Normies aren’t the only ones getting ignored, ghosted, and fed a steady diet of bullshit by our Supreme Leaders. Even the Social Justice Warriors are on the receiving end now.
Here’s an email the union sent us on February 26, 2025:
200 members of the four campus unions gathered to meet with the Chancellor, the Provost, and other upper administration members on Tuesday, February 18th. We wanted to share our concerns about federal government threats to members of our community based on immigration status, gender identity, and race, along with attacks on higher education including cuts to federal grant funding… Despite the looming threats to our community, to research, and to our anti-racist mission on our campus, Administration did not send a single representative or respond to our request that they meet with the campus community.
Not that we’re shedding any tears over “attacks” on DEI and identity politics, and we definitely don’t have warm, fuzzy feelings for the union, but hey, we feel the pain. We’ve been there.
Is it as painful as watching misplaced students flounder in math classes because the placement test has been unproctored for eleven years and counting, with our administration deliberately stalling the process? Or as excruciating as sitting through the endless stream of DEI sermons from our Supreme Leaders over the past few years? Who's to say?
What is clear is that another horseshoe is reluctantly forming: those who actually want to do something consequential, right or wrong, are finding more and more in common with each other. Meanwhile, those fixated on climbing the career ladder and perfecting their vacuous performances are content to leave everyone else out in the cold.
