UMass Boston Opens the W. Goldberg Holocaust Studies Center
A special day for allyship and remembrance
UMass Boston celebrated the opening of the new W. Goldberg Center for Holocaust studies. The reception was sponsored by the Institute for Critical Clueless Celebs Studies. Due to the constant state of construction on campus, the terrain was uneven and rugged, and since the university never really defined what "health-promoting" actually means (other than in the anti-racist context), no accessible seating was provided. Therefore, actual Holocaust survivors could not attend as they are all at least in their 80s and the place was not suitable for wheelchair or walking cane users. Besides, there was no room left as all 150 associate vice provosts had to be accommodated.
In his inaugural speech, The Vice Provost for Not-about-race-racism said: "The center cements the role of UMass Boston as a leading anti-racist and health promoting university despite the fact that the Shoah is not REALLY racism, since, in the words of the great Holocaust scholar W. Goldberg who gave her name to the center, it was just white people killing other white people".
He added: “Prof. Goldberg has shown true solidarity with the Jewish people by adopting the Jewish name Goldberg even though she is not really Jewish (despite her previous claims) and her mother told her that a Jewish name would help her to succeed in Hollywood. Such a wonderful ally, unlike all those despicable cases of cultural appropriation. Never forget!”.
