Find X
Introducing the toilet seat theory - Left and right are indistinguishable when money has a say.
I (Paul) am your professor in Class Struggle 101. Here is your readiness test. Read the following quote:
Exposing the truth that class struggle is all too real, X pushed for harsher measures to control workers who become conscious of their exploitation by bosses and in turn demand more respect on the job and bigger paycheck. [A former senior employee of X’s enterprise] described a lack of structure, leading to her working extra hours: "[i]t became very clear after I started that this was exploitative and other [employees] experienced the same and worse," she said. In response, X asserted that “people decided they didn’t really want to work so much anymore through COVID, and that has had a massive effect on productivity; thankfully, the governments around the world are trying to increase unemployment to get that to some sort of normality;… and the effort is working thanks to massive layoffs. Soon after, X laid off almost a half of his employees.
Your assignment is to find who X is…
Well, never mind, it was a trick question. The quote above is a compilation of two quotes. While the first and the third sentences refer to the Australian billionaire real estate developer Tim Gurner, the second and the forth describe, here and here, the famous anti-racism theorist Ibram X. Kendi, director of the Center for Antiracist Research at Boston University and a proponent of the idea that white people should be discriminated against to tackle the horrific prejudice previously inflicted on African-Americans.
Ever heard of the horseshoe theory? The heel ends of the shoe are so close these days: the horseshoe theory may soon become a toilet seat theory.
Ain’t that some shit?
